About the NSAB

The Northamptonshire Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) and its members work in partnership to provide strategic leadership for effective local adult safeguarding arrangements.

Who are the NSAB's members?

In Northamptonshire, the Safeguarding Adults Board brings toegther agencies to work together with vunerable adults and takes appropraite action to stop abuse occurring.

From April 2015, when the Care Act was implemented, the following organisations were represented on the board:

  • The local authority which set it up;
  • The Clinical Commissioning Groups in the local authority's area; and
  • The chief officer of police in the local authority area.

There are a range of other agencies who are members of the NSAB and who support the work of the board.

Interim Strategy

The Care Act requires the NSAB to produce a strategic plan. This document sets out the board's strategic priorities and how it hopes to achieve these.
