What is the Keep Safe Card scheme?

The Northamptonshire Learning Disability Partnership Board (LDPB) & Northants Police jointly run the Keep Safe Card scheme

Users are given a Keep Safe Card which they carry with them whenever they are out and about. The card is designed to make people more aware of their personal safety, to encourage reporting of crime especially hate crime and to seek help if they need it.

The Keep Safe Card will also help those providing assistance, such as shop keepers, librarians and the police, to access support for the user of the card and understand how to make them feel safer

To apply for a Keep Safe card you will need to complete an application form. You can ask us to send you one through the post or you can download a form directly from the Keep Safe Website.

When you have been accepted onto the scheme you will be sent your Keep Safe Card welcome pack.

Keep Safe Place
There are over 60 Keep Safe Places in the county including shops, libraries, police stations and council offices.

If the card holder needs help, they can present their card at any of the Keep Safe Places.

The Keep Safe logo will be displayed in the window and assistance can be accessed using the basic information about the individual on their card. This includes any health issues and emergency contact details.
