Service description:
Anjali Dance Company realises and celebrates through dance the extraordinary creative potential of people with learning disabilities. Anjali is committed to challenging preconceptions about who can dance and demonstrating new artistic possibilities. The company creates dance works of excellence which are performed by dancers with learning disabilities. The company provides education and outreach programmes and has a unique education team of teachers with learning disabilities. Through its innovative and pioneering work Anjali engages the professional dance community in a debate on fundamental issues about aesthetics, form, purpose and inclusion.

Young Anjali

Open to young people with learning disabilities aged between 12 and 24, Young Anjali is a place for people who want to learn to dance and perform alongside their friends.

Young Anjali works with the best teachers to train young dancers. Professional dance artists make dances with them and take them to perform the dances in theatres and other places. Being a dancer in Young Anjali could be great place to start for dancers who want to go on to dance professionally in Anjali’s main Company.
