Service description:
Any girl aged five to seven can be a Rainbow. They take part in games and activities as part of their programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw and have lots of fun doing it. Everything a Rainbow does helps her to develop and to think for herself, in a safe girl-only environment.
Rainbows make this simple Promise that they share with members around the world:
I promise that I will do my best to think about my beliefs and to be kind and helpful.
Rainbows have a range of items they can wear. As all girls wear the same thing they feel as though they belong. No girl is excluded because they do not have the right clothes.
Life of a Rainbow
- In the first six weeks after a Rainbow receives a warm welcome in to guiding, we aim for her to achieve goals which include:
•read or hear the first part of the Rainbow Story to meet Olivia and takes part in activities to find out about Rainbows.
•chooses her Rainbow clothes
•plans her Promise Party, with the help from a Leader.
•make her Rainbow Promise at her Promise Party and receives her Promise badge and certificate.
