Service description:
Our service is for children and young people from birth to school leaving age who are registered with a GP in Northamptonshire. We help children with self-care, play and leisure, as well as school participation.

Self-care support aids eating, drinking, using the toilet, dressing and personal safety.
Play and leisure support helps with access to fun, toys and hobbies.
School participation support includes access to the curriculum, use of classroom tools (for example pencils, scissors and rulers) and organisation within the school environment.
Some examples of support include assessment and recommendations for specialist equipment such as functional seating and adaptive bathing and toilet seats, which could mean minor adaptations to property and the environment. We also assess motor skills and coordination, which includes a therapy plan.

0 - 18 years

For a referral please talk with your child’s health visitor, school or nursery, GP or consultant. All referrals should be sent to the Referral Management Centre (details below). For referral information and advice phone 0300 1111022 9am-5pm weekdays.
