Service description:
Different Strokes Northampton was set up with the aim of helping young stroke survivors to optimise their lives. To take control of their own lives and regain as much independence as possible.

We have weekly exercise and support groups to continue the rehabilitation of younger stroke survivors.

We also have guest speakers, mostly health professionals who have relevant knowledge of stroke i.e. speech therapist, physiotherapist, occupational therapy, and dietician etc, but also others such as yoga teachers. Other fun activities include trips out, a walk, picnic, bowling etc.

All younger stroke survivors & their partners/carers are welcome.


The main purpose of the group is to provide an exercise class and communication support for younger stroke survivors (or young at heart).
Every week: 10.00am-12.30 pm Monday and 6.30-8.30pm Friday.
Physio, Exercise, Aphasia and Speech.
Tea, Coffee, Water and bikkies!

Contribution £2 a session
This group will provide everyone an opportunity to have a say in what you want from the group so please do come along where you will receive a very warm welcome.
