Service description:
Akeley Wood is an independent co-educational day school for some nine hundred pupils from twelve months to eighteen years of age. The school is based on three separate sites between Milton Keynes and Buckingham, each within easy reach of the others. All three sites are organised to meet the ever-changing needs of their specific age groups, and all are based in quite magnificent and beautiful buildings in tranquil, peaceful countryside. Teaching is in maximum class sizes of twenty, (examination groups are often much smaller).

Akeley Wood is a happy and caring school with an unpretentious approach. There is a strong emphasis on good manners, a friendly discipline, and looking after others. Our pupils achieve exceptional academic results – but in equal measure have the greatest opportunity to develop their creative talents, sporting abilities, positive personal qualities and self-esteem. In this way, they are given a tremendous springboard for the exciting challenge of life beyond school. In short, we play to the strengths of each individual pupil, to maximise their full potential by providing the perfect balance between an excellent education and uncompromising pastoral care.

Although all three schools have their own location they all share our very special, caring family atmosphere.
