Unit P-T, Corby Furniture Turnaround Project, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN18 8LY
Telephone number:

Service description:
The furniture turnaround project is an independently managed charity. Our aim is to collect donated furniture and to pass it on to those people who live in the local area. The service we provide is for those on low income including many clients referred to us through Social Services, Age concern and Welfare Rights.

Useful Furniture Items:- The bulk of items collected include 3 Piece suites, beds, wardrobes, chest of draws, dinning tables and chairs.

White goods:- We collect electrical items including cookers, washing machines, fridge/freezers and tumble dryers. Other electrical items include videos, hi-fis, and lamps. All electrical goods are safety tested before being passed on. We do not collect microwaves or gas cookers as we are unable to test these.

Starter Packs:- We also collect and pass on "Starter Packs" which include sheets, pillows, blankets, crockery, cutlery, utensils and pots and pans. Other useful items include curtains, towels, cushions, rugs, carpets and baby equipment.

All collections/deliveries are made within Corby Borough and surrounding villages only.

The Environment

We help to protect and support the local environment by helping to reduce the amount of furniture items going into landfill or being fly tipped. We believe that reuse is more beneficial to the environment than recycling as it guarantees extending the life of an item.

During the last 17 years we have continued to increase to the amount of household items handled annually. In the last 12 months we have delivered over 100 tonnes of essential items to peoples homes. This equates to 30 households benefiting each week.

Team Work

The furniture turnaround values the work carried out by the many volunteers who help to make the organisation a success. Our strength has always been our commitment to help the community.
