About Us
The Florence Nightingale Aid in Sickness Trust provides grants to help people in need who are ill, convalescent or disabled. These are used to provide medical and household aids that make a huge difference to people's ability to manage at home and live as independently as possible.

How we can help
Currently we are considering all requests for funding for people of all ages who are sick, in poor health or disabled and require medical items and services to improve their quality of life. However, if funding is limited under the remit of the Trust deed, preference will be given to people who have professional, secretarial, or administrative qualifications.

We help with:

- respite care
- medical and other aids, eg
- nebulisers
- TENS machines
- recliner chairs
- electric beds
- orthopaedic mattresses
- mobile hoists
- neater eater feeding aids
- sensory equipment
- communication aids ie lightwriters
- specialist software
- household aids, eg washing machines
- refrigerators for essential drug storage
- secure drug cabinets
- assistance with hospital visiting expenses
