Linkage College is an Independent Specialist College and one of the few colleges in the country to be rated as ‘outstanding’ for student outcomes by Ofsted inspectors. We are one of the longest-established specialist colleges in the UK and are able to meet the needs of young people with a wide variety of learning difficulties / disabilities. Students reside in houses within the community which are staffed 24 hours a day and are CQC compliant.

Who do you cater for?

We support young people who have any form of learning difficulty - covering a whole spectrum of support from mild to complex needs.

Specialisms include: Down’s syndrome, Autism, Aspergers syndrome, Williams syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, speech and language difficulties, hearing impairment, epilepsy, dyslexia, dyspraxia, MLD, SLD.

Our new annexe enables us to support students who have high personal care needs / physical disability.

The age group we support is 16 – 25.

When do courses start and finish?

Course start dates and duration: This is flexible – dependent on individual student need. Standard programmes run over a 38-week academic year but we also provide a 52-week curriculum for students who require this. Standard programmes run between 1 – 3 years, depending on individual requirements.
