Corby Technical School,
Corby Technical School is a small school (there will only be 75 students in each year group), offering a curriculum that has a strong technical bias to suit those young people who have already shown a strong aptitude for and interest in technical subjects like engineering, electronics and computer programming.
The main focus will be on offering relevant pathways and work experience to enable students to move into careers in technical industries, including civil engineering, architecture and motorsport engineering. Many programmes will be delivered in Tresham’s new £38m campus on Oakley Road. The school will also work in close partnership with local companies to offer significant elements of work experience relevant to students’ choice of career
Students will study a fully differentiated curriculum and progress in a climate of mutual support and respect. Students and staff alike will have the common purpose of success and achievement. The aim is to develop confident learners, who take ownership of their learning and are proud of their achievements. The school will have a huge emphasis on self-discipline and good behaviour where students’ independent skills will be nurtured. All students will be encouraged to develop the personal qualities and skills necessary for the career they wish to pursue.
This School’s policy on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and Inclusion can be found on their website.
