Service description:
Mindfulness in the Community is a new social enterprise based in Northamptonshire, set up with the aim of providing mindfulness training for anyone who is struggling to cope with the circumstances of their life - chronic pain and illness, caring responsibilities, unemployment or simply the stresses and strains of family and work life. Much of the Mindfulness training currently available is accessed through mental health services or counsellors and psychotherapists.

We believe there is a wide group of people who don't currently access these services, but who would benefit greatly from what Mindfulness has to offer, and our aim is to broaden access to the training in community settings.

Mindfulness in the Community began life in 2012 with a successful programme of workshops and taster sessions, offered with the aim of giving people the opportunity to find out more about Mindfulness and its benefits. As a new organisation we were surprised and thrilled to be nominated for Northamptonshire Community Foundation's Transforming Lives Award and are now in the process of planning our first full Eight Week Courses. Dates will be available at the end of November

We are continuing to offer Introduction to Mindfulness for All workshops and taster sessions for support organisations; dates and further information are available on the Tasters and Workshops page
