Service description:
We want to help you learn more about your local environment by:-
- We make this possible by running events and activities in your area where you can join in
- These events might be woodland management, repairing dry stone walls, building a fence, renovating a pond, repairing a footpath or a wide range of other “countryside” tasks
- You could be helping on a community food growing initiative or a community arts event or even attending a classroom based training course.
- There is a wide range of opportunities and below is an event that is currently available in your area
- Fully trained leaders will give training, safety briefing, First Aid cover and introductory briefing on the work and site
- In many areas transport to the project site is available from a specified pick up point
- Tools, protective clothing
What we ask of volunteer:-
- Volunteers should wear old clothes suitable for outdoor activity and stout shoes or boots.
- Bring your own refreshments
-Volunteers should have current Tetanus immunity
