Service description:
As accredited teachers in Baby and Infant massage by the Guild of Infant and Child Massage we can run sessions for groups or one-to one, with the option of coming to your home.
When born, babies need to be touched in order to thrive as they are used to constant massage from their mother’s movements when in the uterus. Massage is a wonderful and positive way of doing this. Used as a healing tool in many cultures, massage is recognised as promoting health and well-being for both baby and parent. The Benefits of Infant Massage are emotional psychological and physical and therefore help babies achieve all-round well-being.
What can I expect in a session? A relaxed and supported environment where you can leave the stresses of life at the door and learn at your own pace. Time and space is given for you to learn your baby’s cues and connect with them. Some simple songs are introduced to help you remember the massage moves and also to enhance your baby’s enjoyment as they watch and listen to you while receiving a wonderful loving and healing massage. Above all, our sessions are an opportunity for you to relax and spend some special time together.
