Youth clubs

Youth clubs in Northamptonshire are run by a range of different organisations, such as clubs, societies and voluntary groups.

Youth Works provides a range of activities for children and young people after school, in the evenings and during the school holidays in Kettering and Corby.

Clubs for Young People Northamptonshire (CYPN) is a charity that works closely with the community to ensure that there are a variety of safe but enjoyable activities for children from the ages of 8 to 19, from roller skating events to national boxing competitions.

Find a sports club

Northamptonshire Sport provides opportunities for people to take part in sport, physical activities and recreation in the county. You can search a full list of sports clubs around the county from American football to trampolining, rollerblading to rugby league.


This Girl Can

This Girl Can is a national campaign developed to encourage female sport and activity. It's a celebration of active women up and down the country who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it, how they look or even how red their face gets.

Leisure centres across the county provide a range of different activities for young people.

Library services

The library service entertainment page has a list of things to see and do within Northamptonshire and nationally.

The e-Library is available in your local library or from home. It is a quick and easy portal to the best information resources on the web. Hundreds of quality websites and special subscription services have been selected to help you find the information you need.

Getting around with a disability

The Disabled Go guide is for everyone with disabilities and it lists lots of places to go and things to do in the county.  

Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) Programme is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from. You just need to be aged between 14 and 24 and realise there’s more to life than sitting on a sofa watching life pass you by.

Cycling in Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire Highways manage a wide network of cycling facilities across the county. You can use the cycling journey planning websites to help plan the best route to your destination by bike.

Cycle CoNNect is a 24 hour on-street bike hire service in Northampton, with bikes available to hire across the network at any time, every day.

Country parks

Northamptonshire has 6 country parks. Discover the spectacular quarry faces and Jurassic geology, learn survival skills or just go exploring.
