Calling all dogs of Northamptonshire, are you ready for the Best. Walk. Ever?

The RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch is proud to be hosting a BIG Walkies event on Sunday 20th September at Brixworth Country Park.

Humans and dogs alike can come together and raise much needed funds for animals that have been neglected, abandoned and mistreated within the county.

By raising just £80 in sponsorship, you could pay for a dog to have food, love and shelter for one week.

There is a choice of 3km and 5km routes to suit you and your dog, and you get a t-shirt to wear that matches your dog’s BIG Walkies bandana! Not only that, but you could also collect a pedometer from Brixworth Country Park and record how many steps you do as part of Northamptonshire County Council’s 20 Million Steps challenge!

Jaymi-Lee Wilmin, Fundraising Manager for the RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch, said:

“It is great to be hosting our first BIG Walkies event. It’s a great way to get all the family members active, including the four-legged ones! By working together with the County Council, people can also record the steps they do at the BIG Walkies and record them for the 20 Million Steps challenge too.

“The money raised from BIG Walkies sponsorships will go towards helping animals within Northamptonshire who have often been mistreated and had horrible lives. The branch supports these animals by providing the necessary veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and care so they can be healthy once again and ready to find their ‘furever’ home.”

So get all the family, friends and dogs together to be more active and raise vital funds for the RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch at the same time.
